A chicken is hoping to cross Ten Mile Road in Meridian.

According to permit filings, Chick-fil-A is planning its 5th Treasure Valley location.

pre-application request was submitted to the City of Meridian for the property on 602 Vanguard Way. The records state the planned restaurant would be built on 2.36 acres within Ten Mile Crossing.

The building would be approximately 4,988 square feet with 62 indoor seats and no outdoor patio seating. Plans show 124 proposed parking spaces near the restaurant.

Chick-fil-A is also considering a new location at the Boise Spectrum in Boise, according to applications. There are currently six locations for the chicken chain in the Treasure Valley, including a location at the Boise State Student Union Building.

The proposed Chick-fil-A would join Gandolfo’s Deli, Boise Juice Co., and other restaurants, banks, retail, and medical services in the development. BoiseDev previously reported that a Cafe Zupas is also planned for the area. Construction has already started on Idaho’s first Scheels at Ten Mile Crossing, a large sporting goods store with a Ferris Wheel inside.

The application still needs approval from the City of Meridian and a hearing date has not been set.
