A Caldwell Winery just opened a tasting room in Garden City.

Veer Wine Project has taken over the Par Terre Winery space at 4338 W. Chinden Blvd. Owner and winemaker Will Wetmore opened the Caldwell winery in 2016 and called this tasting room Veer’s “next big jump.”

Caldwell is where the actual wine production happens. Garden City’s tasting room will have more events, music, and charcuterie. Wetmore said the retail license will allow them to sell beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and do some guest flights.

“I think when we first open up we’re going to have a guest flight of Par Terre wines since they were here before,” he said.

Wetmore added he’s hopeful there’s “something for everyone.”

The tasting room is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Wetmore said the plan is to eventually extend the hours on either Friday or Saturday.

This weekend is the grand opening of the Veer Wine Project tasting room. There will be flights, tastings, and glass pours of Veer’s wine. There will be live music on Sunday as well.
