A recently opened ice cream chain is now serving Garden City with a grab-n-go twist.

A Baskin-Robbins opened at 7281 W. State St. This location is in the former Oliver’s Daily Grind coffee hut. It’s the first Baskin-Robbins to be drive-thru and walk-up only, according to owner Montgomery Boldt.

The new store is about two miles from a former Baskin-Robbins location at State near Collister Dr., which is now a Stella’s Ice Cream shop.

“We decided to open this Baskin-Robbins location in the coffee hut both because we want to grow our network of drive-thru locations, and to help meet the demand for high-quality ice cream and desserts on the go,” Boldt said.

Boldt added that there will soon be patio seating in time for this summer.

Despite the store’s small size, it’s still a full-service location with all of the products at other Baskin-Robbins, including custom cake ordering and pickup.

People can swing by for a sweet treat from noon to 11 p.m. daily.
